PHILOSOPHY
·
We
believe in the diffusion of useful professional knowledge in the spirit of
service and sacrifice, which Christ practiced in his own life, being of service
for the benefit of all persons irrespective of caste, creed, community or
nationality.
·
Keeping
in mind the unique function of nurses as stated by ICN,
·
We
believe that a basic course in Nursing should prepare nurses for first level
positions in Nursing both in hospital and the community.
·
To
achieve this, a good understanding of
basic scientific principles of communication and learning are essential as
Nursing is believed to be a professional influenced by scientific and
technological advances.
·
We
believe that a substantial portion of the student’s learning experience should
be acquired in the clinical / field areas.
·
We
recognize Nursing as a practicing
professional inter dependent on allied professions and occupations for
promoting, restoring and maintaining
health and in preventing diseases.
·
We
believe that an ANM/MPHW (F) is the back-bone of rural health care delivery system.
